• Sound and Acoustic Conditions: Is there construction nearby? Can road, traffic, or aircraft noise be heard? Does the space produce an echo? Every risk that could compromise audio recording quality is noted, and the sound engineer selects equipment accordingly.
• Power and Electrical Infrastructure: The cinema cameras and heavy lighting used consume serious amounts of power. The location of outlets, the capacity of the breakers (whether they can handle the load), and the need for a mobile generator, if any, are determined.
• Logistics and Physical Space: The crew checks where dozens of crew members and heavy equipment trucks will park, where the cast will get ready, and whether there's enough physical space for camera movement (dolly, jimmy jib).
