Microphone Rental in Istanbul

When image quality drops, viewers usually keep watching. When the audio breaks, they leave within seconds. Sound is still the last line most production budgets think about.

Whether you are shooting an interview, a corporate film, a panel, a podcast or social content, picking the right microphone is half the job. Our microphone rental service in Istanbul, Turkey covers wireless lavalier, shotgun and handheld systems, together with audio recorders.

Which Microphone for Which Job?

This is the question we get most. Short answer: lavalier if the speaker stays put, shotgun if they move, handheld if several people speak in turn.

Microphone typeBest suited forWatch out for
Wireless lavalierInterviews, corporate films, talking head shotsClothing rustle; placement on the collar matters
Shotgun / boomScripted scenes, drama, isolating one voice in a noisy roomNeeds a boom operator or at least a stand
Wireless handheldPanels, stage, street interviews, event hostingThe mic is visible on camera, not always right for corporate work
Audio recorderMulti channel recording, backup independent of the cameraYou need a shared sync reference with the camera in post

The Most Common Mistake: Trusting a Single Recording

The most expensive mistake we see on set is recording sound only to the camera. If a wireless lavalier picks up interference, the battery dies, or the receiver drops the link for a moment, that take cannot be shot again. The person you were interviewing has already left.

The fix is simple and cheap: a second recording path. Running a parallel backup to an audio recorder insures the whole shoot for a small daily add on. If the interview matters, do not treat this as optional.

What Else Do You Need?

A microphone alone rarely covers it. The list usually looks like this:

  • A recording path: camera input or a separate audio recorder
  • A windshield for outdoor work, not needed indoors
  • A boom pole or stand if you are using a shotgun
  • Spare batteries, more than one set per day on long shoots
  • Headphones, shooting without monitoring the audio is a gamble

Instead of sourcing these one by one, describe the project and we will put a single package together.

Delivery and Process in Istanbul

Our office is in Cihangir, Beyoglu, Istanbul. You can collect the equipment here, or we can deliver it to your location in the city. Same day delivery is usually possible around Beyoglu, Sisli, Levent, Maslak, Kadikoy and Atasehir. If you are shooting in Turkey as an international crew, we can also handle the local logistics for you.

The process runs like this: you pick the equipment and give us the dates, we confirm availability and pricing, the gear is tested before handover, and we collect it after the shoot. A reservation is only final once we confirm it.

Looking for an event sound system? This page covers microphones for filming and recording. If you need speakers and a mixer for a venue, a stage or an outdoor event, see our sound system rental service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is microphone rental charged per day?

Yes, rates are based on daily rental. For multi day or project based use we can quote differently.

Should I take a lavalier or a shotgun?

If the speaker stays in one place and you do not want a microphone visible in frame, go with a lavalier. If they move around or the room is noisy, a shotgun performs better. Tell us about the shoot and we will recommend one.

How many microphones do I need for a two person interview?

One lavalier per speaker gives the cleanest result. Dual channel wireless kits exist for exactly this. Sharing a single microphone between two people creates problems in the edit.

Do I also need an audio recorder?

Not strictly, if your camera handles audio input well. But if you want a backup recording, or you are running more than two microphones, a recorder makes the job considerably easier.

Do you ship equipment outside Istanbul?

We handle requests elsewhere in Turkey on a project basis. Shipping time and equipment availability on those dates decide it, so it needs to be discussed in advance.

How do I make a reservation?

You can submit a reservation request with your dates from the product page. Once it reaches us we check availability and confirm. A reservation is not final until we confirm it.
